Free syrian voices is deeply saddened by the death of the journalist and television director Bilal Ahmed Bilal.
He was arrested by Air Force Intelligence on 13 September 2013 at a checkpoint at the entrance of Moadamiyeh, on the outskirts of Damascus, and then transferred to Sadnaya prison.
According to some sources, he would have died in prison in December 2013. In January 2014, one month after his alleged death, a military court sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
On 29 April, the family received a letter from the authorities informing them that he had died in detention. They have not yet been able to recover the body.
