On 17 April, anniversary date of Syria’s independence, the thunderclap message -Free activists, media and humanitarian workers arbitrarily detained for their work-, has reached 2 million social media users. Thanks to all those who participated in this initiative by sending a clear statement of support to civil society activists including human rights defenders, media workers, medical and humanitarian workers who continue to be arbitrarily detained in dire conditions as a result of their peaceful activism or their humanitarian work.
